Webmaster in Croatia
Actually, Doris Day was very popular in Croatia. She is still well known by the 50+ crowd, but I haven’t asked the younger set about her yet. As I child, in the 60’s, I remember seeing my first Doris Day film in Croatia. It was Calamity Jane and I think this film hooked me on Doris Day.
I’m sitting on the bench in front of the harbour, in the town of Krk, on the island of Krk on the Adriatic sea. The town has provided a wireless service so I’m using my laptop.
The weather has been quite lovely, warm enough to swim. Today it rained.
There will be no serious work on the chapters until I’m back in Canada.
So I’m signing off and will go and drink a capuccino in one of the many cafes here.
