Personal philosophy:

The epitome of the “pull yourself up by the bootstraps” mentality and “Que Sera Sera” mantra, Doris Day has weathered the numerous storms of both career and personal life, using these carefree and easygoing sentiments as a testament to the endearing endurance and eternal optimism that defines her infectiously positive outlook on life Jason Buchanan,  From All Movie Guide:

Doris has always and will always be my favourite singer and performer. From a very young age I enjoyed her music, and her musical films were wonderful, they take you to another place and time, somehow a much better place and time! I started songwriting recently and I can honesty say that is was Doris that originally inspired me. She is also a great actress and should be appreciated as such. Doris has done marvellous work for the animals and the lady has my total admiration for that too. All the best, great website,

Hi Meryl,
I enjoyed what you had to say about Doris and I agree with you, she not only entertained us but was also a great role model and an inspiration. we have something in common. I, too, do some song writing that was inspired by Doris Day songs. Good luck with your writing.

Could I interest you to answer my questionnaire that only Gino has answered thus far. I would like to compare how the fans see those sex comedies( Pillow Talk, etc) and how the critics see them. We all have an idea there is a definite difference but I wanted to make a semi scientific research. This information will eventually go into the chapters on the Doris Day image.

I’ll post an interview I did with Bernie Rothman, a Hollywood producer, who has some interesting things to say about Doris. That’ll come in the next few days.

If you have more comments feel free to post them.
